Dr. Mark Werner and Dr. Alana Grajewski

Dr. Alana Grajewski is relocating to the University of Minnesota in September 2007. She will be Chairman of the Division of Glaucoma & Director of the Pediatric Glaucoma Center for the Midwest. Dr. Grajewski will continue to be Co-Director of the Pediatric Glaucoma Center at Bascom Palmer Eye Institute.

Dr. Mark Werner will be assuming the care of all of Dr. Grajewski’s patients. He is a Board Certified Ophthalmologist and Glaucoma Specialist. Letter from Dr. Alana Grajewski, MOS Executive Director

Bascom Palmer #1 AGAIN! for the fourth year in a row!
Bascom Palmer Eye Institute has been ranked the No. 1 hospital in the country for ophthalmology in the 18th annual survey of America’s Best Hospitals to be published in the July 23 issue of U.S.News & World Report. Three other specialties at the UM/Jackson Memorial Medical Center were also ranked among the nation’s best.
“This honor is testimony to the highest quality of care we provide every day to our patients, our outstanding national medical education programs, and the research advances continually made in our clinics and laboratories,”

The three other UM/Jackson Memorial Medical Center programs that joined Bascom Palmer in the rankings are ear, nose, and throat, which climbed to No. 17 this year from No. 22 last year; digestive disorders, ranked No. 32; and kidney disease, ranked No. 32.
